The Look
BetInternet has a very sleekly designed site, but unfortunately it's agonizingly slow. After clicking on a sport in the left column, I was able to get a drink, and run the Boston Marathon before seeing the various types of bets (halftime, game, props) for the sport come up. Then you have to wait again for the actual odds. Not good. Also worth noting was that upon registering there are options to let the telemarketers harass you by calling you at home. I immediately checked these boxes, only because I gave them my neighbor's phone number. Because he's lonely. Another interesting item is the option to display odds in decimals, fractions or what is simply called "U.S." Apparently those odds are given in feet, yards and degrees Fahrenheit.Deposits/Withdrawals
Both deposit and withdrawal options include Visa/Mastercard, NETeller, Moneybookers and Western Union. Fairly standard and there seemed to be no real obstacles in depositing, the limitation being the currency is in Euros. Well, based on the current exchange rates and volatile East Asian market, I don't think it wise to convert my $13 deposit into 10 euros. Oh and yes, have Walter bring me more champagne. I'm having Babs and P. Diddy over for a late supper.Wagering
BetInternet 's feature Euro sports include darts, cricket, rugby and my favorite, dogs. They refer to them as "greyhounds," but Europeans are just sophis-ta-ma-cated like that.Like most hybrid American/Euro sites, the actual betting options are limited, however, if you're looking for more involved props and parlays. The wagers are in pounds and I need my conversion table to figure out what it all means.
Player Reviews/Forums
Not many people in the States use this particular site, partly because the terminology is confusing, with stakes and trebles and what not. Experienced Europeans might enjoy this site, with their meters and crazy left side of the road driving.Customer Service
BetInternet doesn't provide a lot help of the website variety and therefore puts all the onus on their phone service. However, with an international phone number, that also becomes extremely difficult. Perhaps it would not be a good use of time to call and tell them how slow their site is; you might get put on hold.Bonuses and Extras
There is a 50% cash matching offer on initial wagers. Sounds too good to be true? Well, it is. There's a limit of 25 pounds. So if you're into bonus prostitution, you will find yourself barred here. If you're into bets that involve more than lunch money, it might also be wise to take your business elsewhere. Unless the pound becomes worth a thousand times the value of the dollar.Verdict
BetInternet receives the rank of Tara Reid. Very good looking, but at times she just seems a little slow, a little too much of a party girl. The same goes for this site. It has a ton of nice graphics, great interface, but somehow it just seems a little too involved to a point where practicality, and more importantly, speed gets compromised.Room Review
